Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Crewbound ("Crewbound," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Crewbound websites, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy and to our Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Access requests: email address, company or trade, the role you select (contractor, worker, or partner), and any staffing needs you describe.
- Accounts and profiles: email address, name, company or trade, role title and role level, trade focus, years of experience, phone number, availability, home base (city and state), travel radius, earliest mobilization date, rate and per-diem floors, housing needs, your reliability-sharing setting, and notes you choose to add.
- Credentials: license, certification, and other credential details and documents you submit for verification.
- Calls and projects: trade, market, headcount, and the terms you post — rate, overtime rate, per diem and payment cadence, schedule, start date, duration, site details, credential or PPE requirements, and replacement policy.
- Booking agreements: when you and another user confirm a booking, we retain the agreement record — the terms both parties confirm (rate, per diem, schedule, dates, and site requirements), confirmation timestamps, and the full version history of any amendments.
- Reliability records: completed-placement confirmations a contractor submits (showed up, worked safe, completed scope, would rehire) and any context the worker attaches. These records are visible to the worker and are shared with other signed-in users (such as contractors filling calls) only according to the worker's sharing setting.
- Dispute reports: terms-violation reports and related notes you submit.
- No-show reports: a contractor's report that a confirmed booking was not honored, including who flagged it and when, recorded on the booking record.
Information collected automatically:
- Session cookie: a single, signed, HTTP-only cookie used to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
- Service logs: our hosting provider generates standard technical logs (such as IP address, request URL, and timestamps) used for security and operations.
- Referral attribution: if you arrive through a link with referral parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, ref), we capture them from the URL, hold them in your browser's session storage for the visit, and record them with your access request or account so we know how you found us.
- Aggregate usage counters: when you load a page we count the view with the page path and referring site only — no cookies, no identifiers, no cross-site tracking. We honor your browser's Do Not Track setting.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the Service, including sign-in codes, matching, and booking-agreement records.
- To respond to access requests and communicate with you about the Service.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- To improve and develop the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only:
- With service providers that process data on our behalf to run the Service — currently Cloudflare (hosting and data storage), Resend (transactional email delivery), and Google (font delivery via Google Fonts — your browser requests font files from Google's servers, which involves your IP address);
- Between users as part of the Service — for example, profile information a worker submits may be shown to other signed-in users as part of matching; the terms of a booking agreement are shared with both parties to it; and reliability records are shared with other signed-in users (such as contractors filling calls) only according to the worker's sharing setting;
- For legal reasons — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Crewbound, our users, or others; and
- In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Sign-in challenges expire within minutes and are deleted. Booking agreement records, including their version history, document terms confirmed by two parties; we retain them — and may continue to retain them after a deletion request — to preserve the other party's records and to comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 5).
5. Your Choices and Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@crewbound.co. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act); we honor those rights as applicable, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising them.
6. Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, including HTTPS, signed HTTP-only session cookies, hashed sign-in codes that expire within minutes, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
The Service is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
8. United States Only
The Service is operated from and intended for use in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and your information will be processed in the United States.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be indicated by updating that date and, where practicable, additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
